We Hold A Lot of Fun Events…

Fun events. Absurd events. Events that get you prizes. Some of our events are for the purpose of doing good, such as our weekly Goodwill Bot held every Monday evening Nonprofit organizations collaborate with our Taproom to engage our patrons, potentially recruit new members, and receive $1 of each pint sale that evening.

Another worthy weekly event is our BetaBrew, held every Tuesday. Do you brew? Would you like to learn? How about showcasing your own fabulous homebrew in our taproom? Contact [email protected] to set up a day to brew your own BetaBrew (small-batch, experimental beer) in our SABCO BrewMagic. Bring your friends and family out to show off your beer. All levels of experience are welcome, from the seasoned homebrewer to a first-timer. If you prefer drinking to brewing, we have a new BetaBrew on tap every Tuesday.

Beats 'n Boats

Mar 30, 8:00pm - Mar 30, 11:30pm

Maritime Museum of the Atlantic
1675 Lower Water Street
Halifax, NS  B3J 1S3 Map

Beats ‘n Boats will present Kamphyre’s Offshore Cabaret, featuring circus performers from Scout Camp and Halifax Circus twirling to the beats of local electronic music producers Cloverdale, flying from the aerial rigging, luring the audience into their watery world with wild spinning dives through fluttering fabrics, and stunning them with fantastical flips and flexibility. The evening will open up with a performance by local songwriting duo Aloysius. Wasko AV will be “on deck” projecting his unique digital art onto the collection of antique boats, their sails and the natural features of the museums architecture, providing surreal yet gorgeous visual stimulation to the evening’s aquatic atmosphere.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Halifax Circus Circle. This program assists troubled youth to better their lives through the discipline and self-confidence that come with developing and mastering circus skills such as juggling, unicycling and balance work, aerials, acrobatics and more. The teachers share their joy of performing and help youth learn in a safe and supportive environment.

The bar will exclusively feature locally brewed beer by Good Robot and locally distilled spirits by Compass Distillery. And for all of the wanna-be mermaids out there, Master Redken hair stylist Gregory Kennedy from Vitality Medi Spa will be providing complimentary hair braiding throughout the evening.

Tickets are $30 / $20 Students & Museum Members

Fitness FX Presents Harry vs Dan

Fitness FX Presents Harry vs Dan

Mar 31, 1:00pm - Mar 31, 2:00pm

Good Robot Brewing Company
2736 Robie Street
Halifax, NS  B3K 4P2 Map

A drunken bet becomes a reality thanks to the fine folks at Fitness FX.

One night Dan mentioned to Harry that he was incredibly slow behind the bar. So slow in fact that he could beat him in a footrace. There is no competition without reward though so they settled on a 200m race and the loser has to get a tattoo of a "2nd place trophy"

This test of pure speed will be held March 31st and all are welcome to come drink beer, cheer on your favourite idiot, and wager who will be bested.
